Finding your way around the portal

The portal is one screen with a menu on the left. Everything you do happens in the area to the right of it; the page never fully reloads, so moving between screens is instant.

The menu

The left-hand menu is grouped in two blocks with a line between them.

The daily work — the things you touch every day:

  • Dashboard — today at a glance
  • Bookings — with sub-items for All bookings, Check-ins and Check-outs. A badge shows how many new bookings are waiting for you.
  • Customers
  • Reports
  • Reviews

Your setup and your money — the things you touch occasionally:

  • Locations, Resources
  • Bundles, Extras & waivers
  • Discount codes, Vouchers
  • Document templates
  • Integrations
  • Administration
  • Payments
  • Settings

At the bottom: My account and Logout.

Why your menu may be shorter than this

Two things decide what you see. Your company can switch optional features off entirely under Settings → Features, and if you are a staff member, the owner decides which of the remaining features you may use. Bookings, customers, locations, objects, the dashboard and payments are always there. See Team, roles and access.

On a phone or tablet the menu collapses behind the ☰ button next to the logo.

How every screen works

The portal deliberately behaves the same way everywhere, so learning one screen teaches you the rest.

Overviews are grids of cards. Bundles, extras, discount codes, vouchers, document templates, objects and categories are shown as cards, each with the important fields, an Active or Inactive badge where it applies, and edit/delete buttons at the bottom.

The button at the top right creates. Every overview has one primary button in its heading — New bundle, New voucher, Add resource. It opens a pop-up window on top of the list rather than taking you to another page.

Clicking a card edits. The same pop-up opens, filled in with what is already there. Save, and it closes and the list behind it refreshes.

Pop-ups close with Esc or by clicking outside them. Nothing is saved until you press the save button.

Bookings and customers are the exception: they are genuinely tabular, schedule-like data, so they stay as tables and calendars.

Alerts

A coloured bar appears under the page heading after you save something, or when something is wrong ("Please fill in all fields and try again"). Green means it worked, red means it did not. It fades on its own; you do not have to dismiss it.

Booking statuses

You will see these on almost every screen, as a coloured badge.

Bookmarks and sharing a screen

Every screen has its own address, so you can bookmark the ones you use daily and send a colleague a link straight to one booking. Copy it out of the browser's address bar while you are on the screen — no need to tell them which menu items to click.
