Payment methods
You choose what your customers can pay with, per location, on the Payments screen.
How to choose
Each location lists every method available to you, with a checkbox and its price. Tick what you want; save.
Nothing is on until you switch it on. The provider will make everything your package allows available, but a method you did not choose carries a price you did not agree to, so the default is off.
Only the methods you tick are offered in your booking widget.

Not a way of paying, but priced the same way
Refunds, instant refunds, card refunds, terminal refunds, payouts, chargebacks and reversed direct debits each carry their own price. See Refunds and chargebacks and Payouts.
How methods are priced
Most card schemes charge two things at once, so a price has two parts: a fixed amount per transaction and a percentage of the amount. Some methods have only one of the two.
A few methods (Wero and SoftPOS debit) are priced in bands: one price under € 50, another above, another above € 1,000. The right band is chosen automatically from the transaction amount.
Every price is excluding VAT, because that is how they are published and how they appear on your invoice.
Your package changes the prices: the same method costs less on Growth than on Flex, and less again on Pro. The complete list of 33 methods across the three packages is published on reservationbay.com/pricing, and the price for each method is shown next to its checkbox in the portal.
Which method the customer actually used
You are charged for the method that was actually used, not the one that was selected first. The hosted checkout lets a customer change their mind on the payment page, and the price follows what really happened.
Deposits
A deposit is not a payment method but a way of holding money, and it has its own page: Deposits.
What your customers see
They never see the payment provider. The checkout carries ReservationBay's design, and your customers stay on ReservationBay pages before and after paying.
Deposit card holds and PIN terminals are currently being ported to the new payment platform. If your account is on it, you have online payments but not yet a terminal or an online card hold. Use a cash deposit, or a charge that you refund on return. Ask support if you are unsure which applies to you.
