Integrations

Integrations is where ReservationBay connects to everything outside it. It is an optional feature, switch it on under Settings → Features.

The screen has three tabs.

All integrations​

The available connections, each with an Activate / Deactivate button and its own settings.

An integration you activate gets a small settings form of its own: text fields, numbers and switches with their own labels and hints, depending on what that connection needs. Fill them in and save.

The payments connection is described here too: Receive iDeal, Bancontact and PIN payments with the all-in-one payment provider for all your transactions. Setting that up is a separate process. See Getting verified.

Website widget​

The builder for the booking widget you put on your own site.

  1. Pick your main colour, usually your brand colour.
  2. Press Save widget settings.
  3. Copy the HTML code for the iframe and paste it into your website.

A live preview below shows exactly what your visitors will see, in your colour.

The colour is saved against your company rather than baked into the snippet, so changing it later updates every page you pasted the code into. You do not have to go back to your website.

Calendar sync​

Bookings in the calendar your team already uses, without a second place to look.

Each location gets its own calendar link. Copy it, and subscribe to it from Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar or anything else that reads iCal. Bookings then appear there and keep themselves up to date.

The screen puts the trade-off plainly: anyone with the link can see this location's bookings; regenerate it to take that back.

  • Subscribe: the link itself, to paste into your calendar app.
  • Regenerate link: creates a new one. This is the only way to take a shared link back: every calendar subscribed to the old link stops updating. It asks for confirmation first.

Some details worth knowing:

  • The feed covers 60 days back and 400 days ahead.
  • A cancelled booking is marked cancelled rather than vanishing, so a stale entry does not sit in your colleague's calendar.
  • Refreshing updates events rather than duplicating them.
  • Times are the times at the branch. "09:00" in the portal is 09:00 in your calendar, with no timezone arithmetic to go wrong.

Booking emails carry a calendar file​

Separately from the feed, every booking email to your renter carries an .ics attachment, so the rental lands in their calendar with one tap instead of being retyped.

Connections that report back​

Some connected systems need to tell ReservationBay when something changed on their side: a payment that completed, an order that shipped. The supported integrations arrange this themselves when you activate them; there is nothing to fill in.
